Blog, Blog, Blog..................my Poor Blog
Published on March 24th, 2009 @ 04:59:08 pm , using 205 words, 459 views
I have been ignoring my blog because I, at times, fill like I'm in a deep hole. It's not a bad hole, as holes go. It's warm, and smells of dirt and leaves and stuff, I can't blog when I'm in my hole. You may wonder how I got in the hole. I didn't fall in it for sure. I put myself there. Wasn't feeling well, which developed into I can't breathe very well and then antibiotics and prednisolone and albuterol which worked eventually. Made me very nervous with a perpetual stomach ach. Perpetual...I remember a Sister of Perpeptual something in Catholic School. She always had a sour look on her face and was trying to pry open our brains and stuff in what is right and true. But I digress, I have left my hole and am trying to get back into life. I actually scrubbed the kitchen floor today, plus worked on some art projects in polymer clay. Also.....Ive been messing with photoshop with some of my artwork and think I'll do some artwork on cards for etsy. Just talking about all this has made me feel tons better. The turtle(s) I talked about follow this. They are so cute.

Turtle Time in Polymer Clay
Published on February 14th, 2009 @ 09:32:42 am , using 98 words, 193 views
Just finished sculpting a cute little turtle a la Christie Friensen. I haven't baked him yet. Thought I would make some more plus I want to make some fish. As usual, my first version of the turle was smushed because I wasn't happy with it. 2nd turle has grown on me to the point that I decided he's a keeper. My list for today is long and polymer clay is the last on the list (darn). So onward to my first project, balancing my checkbook and paying bills. See Ya!

Time Flies Again.....

I keep promising myself that I will at least write one sentence a day, and here I am again with 0 posts for several days. I've been busy sculpting horse head pins. First really good one I made, I burned in the oven. I did two more and put them on eBay. We'll see how they do.
I'm working on a turtle now. Now real happy with it. If, when I get back to it, it doesn't impress me it will be mushed back into a ball and I'll start again. See my two horses below.

Troubles Making One of Christi Friensen's Horse Heads
Published on January 27th, 2009 @ 09:54:26 am , using 194 words, 102 views
I've tried sculpting the horse head from instructions I downloaded from CF's site. I am slightly dislectic and for some reason I am unable to make a horse's head look like.........ummmm a horse's head. I'm going to start over again only this time I'm going to work from a sketch of a horse's head and not use Christi's mane. That seems to be the area I am having the trouble with. I have some things on eBay which have, so far, gone over like a lead balloon. I have some collectibles I need to put in as soon as I get the listings written. If eBay ends up a bust, I will put all on etsy.com. I'm still working on trying to get noticed on etsy also. Got back to exercising this am. I did 10 minutes on the treadmill. Little steps for me as I am on oxygen almost 24-7. Walked all over a Wal-Mart Super Center yesterday and it really wore me out so.....decided I was not doing myself any good by sitting most of the day. Until next time, Regards Beth

Polymer Clay Items and Ebay Plus Life Interruptions
Published on January 21st, 2009 @ 09:28:19 am , using 247 words, 122 views
I have really been in a mess trying to get my listings for ebay going. I have several polymer clay pieces I want to list plus a few collectibles. I have sold things on eBay since they began, but my life gets interrupted by the surgeries I've had to have. Seems I've inherited not only a very bad back but also bad hips. Since 1999 I've had both hips replaced and had 4 surgeries on my lumbar spine. All were major events in my life with extensive rehab. Right now I'm about 2 years from my last surgery and actually feel like I'm getting back to my old self except for my asthma. Had bronchial pneumonia a year ago April. It was MERSA. I have not totally recoverd from it as I have less volume in my lungs because of scar tissue. I only mention all this because of the big lapses of time that I have been able to sell things or even create things for that matter. It is what it is! I shall mush on the best I can. It doesn't take much energy to sit at at computer or at my design table for that matter. I've gotten a late start today so must get dishes done, then fix lunch, then back to the computer to write those darn listings. If only I had instant recall of the different processes needed to get it all done. It's coming.....
Regards, Beth
